Tires produced for small wheelbarrows wheels as well as to the gigantic dumpers with wheels several times higher than a man. There are many different types of tread, all with divergent type designations.

Tires for construction equipment can be labeled L3, L5, indicating where bulky wear layers. Transportdæk typically have a (/) for separating the width and height, and an indication of the size of the rim. For product inquiry, it is an advantage if we know the tire's exact configuration.

On the outside of the tire when the tire is widest is a series of numbers and letters, look for the number of (X) as spaces. These indicate the tire size designation, which is essential to find a suitable chain product.

The description may be called 33 x 12,5 x 15, 650 X 10 X 23.5 25 215/65 R 16 x C, 14.00 X 20, X 38 480/70, or equivalent. Write the name down and send the request to our contact mail, and we will work tire designation.

You often find the term 9 mm or 12 mm, indicating the chain link length. When the Danish Factory Chain denotes the material thickness, describes the thickness of the cross section of the individual chain links. The higher the value, the stronger the chains.

A chain made of 9.5 mm diameter can withstand greater load and longer wear than a chain performed with 7.0 mm Ø thickness. Danish Factory Chain using chains from 3.5 mm diameter and a wall thickness up to 19 mm diameter wall thickness.

You must select the type of chain that suit your driving needs. Neither more nor less. Choose for effort and duration, but take into account weather fluctuations.

The choice of the products is large. One should choose the product that corresponds to one's driving needs:

Use common sense whenever repairs it comes to your own safety.

Remember to inspect the individual chain parts for defects and wear that can lead to chains next time do not meet the current use value. It is important that the locking system can be closed without error. Side Chains and wire should fit the circumference of the tire.

If you wish to remove excess chain material not be used for the same tire size, there should always be left chain link, then re-mounting is made easier. The side chains of long shortened there so there is always a tail of at least a part, then the installation and tensioning easier next time. Excess joints and chain bits can be stored as spare parts.

Some countries have regulations on the use of snow chains, so traffic can be run safely and controlled during changing weather conditions.
